I witnessed an Italian example of this airplane water-bombing a wildfire in Calabria. It would alight in the Straits of Messina to scoop up a load of water, immediately take off, deposit it's load on the fire, come straight back and then repeat the operation all over again. It was very efficient, and very effective.

Does / did RCAF or Canadian Forces ever field an ASW or SAR version of a CL415 or CL215? I vaguely recall seeing an illustration (not photo) of one in dark grey with the Maple Leaf roundel.

The later version of this all-Canadian aircraft was even more efficient, the radials being replaced with turbos.

Is there a way to locate scale drawings of the CL 215? Better yet is there a 3D graphic that can be revolved on a computer screen?

I would like to know about the passenger carrying capabilities of this aircraft and where one can be physically seen. I would like to ferry people between New York city and the Hamptons.
