General Aircraft G.A.L.48 Hotspur

The General Aircraft Hotspur was the RAF's standard training glider of World War 2 and over 1,000 were built, many by furniture manufacturer Harris Lebus. Although not used operationally, the Hotspur could carry seven troops.
