Strictly speaking this was the Morane or Morane Borel monoplane being designed by Raymond Saulnier but manufactured by Morane Borel. Most sources put the first flight as being in 1911, and there is no doubt it was the only craft to complete the Paris - Madrid air race over a period of four days flown by Jules Vedrines.
