This two seat fighter was designed and built by Ateliers d'Aviation Francois Villiers for operation from the aircraft carrier "Bearn" of the French Navy. Two prototypes were built, one with an Hispano Suiza V12, followed by 30 production aircraft. Entering service with Escadrille 5C1 of the Aeronautique Maritime at Hyeres nr Toulon in March 1927 they were all replaced by the Gourdou-Leseurre GL5 in September 1928 having never seen service on the "Bearn".
