Messerschmitt Bf 162

Unsuccessful competitor for the Ju 88, superficially resembling the Bf 110, but with a new fuselage, incorporating a glazed nose. The Bf 162 was part of a propaganda effort, but never entered production.

Very little info on this one. Did you have trouble finding info on it? Based on your short description, this plane must not have been too important...but it must have had some importance to be finding so many planes that appear to be offshoots of this one, or visa versa. If someone finds more info on this aircraft just post a comment after me please. I am intrigued to find out more about this plane but I am buisy working on a project for college at the moment.

yeah it does, but it reminds me more of the Tu-2

You know, it kind off reminds me of a Russian Pe-2. Maybe this aircraft inspired the Pe-2.

Do you have any comments about this aircraft ?
