The plane illustrated is the Schmeidler SN2 (reg. D-2257 later D-YRON) developed by the Versuchflugbau der T.H.Breslau under the supervision of Professor Schmeidler. Powered by BMW X 5 cylinder radial engine this aircraft was able to change its wing area in flight.
