My dad, Bernie H. Tison took his flight training in the NY-1 (land based) aircraft at the U.S.N.Reserve Base in Opa Locka, Florida during June and July of 1932. later that year he trained in the NY-2 (float version)at the Pensacola N.A.S. in northwest Florida. Some of the NY-1 tail numbers listed in one flight log book are #8379, 8380,and 8390.
