A company-funded development of the F-16 fighter with a new highly-swept 'cranked-arrow' wing with an area more than 120 per cent greater than standard, and a lengthened fuselage to increase internal fuel capacity by 82 per cent. This doubles the capacity for underwing ordnance. The prototype F-16XL was flown on 3 July 1980.

| john, 16.07.2008 Why wasn't it ever put into production? | | Coaxer1, ezonis777(@)yahoo.com, 16.07.2008 What is remarkable about this aircraft is it was the first to demonstrate "super cruise", that is the first aircraft to go supersonic with afterburner and be able to pull back out of AB and continue cruising supersonically. I worked on this baby. | | and, 10.08.2007 essa é acopia perfeita do iai 121 | | tony, 19.01.2007 mikes weird | | tony, 19.01.2007 stuckel is wackk so is josh | | tony, 19.01.2007 stuckel is wackk so is josh | | david stuckel, 19.01.2007 yes i do i love it |
