Rusty Wells, Russwells2(@)aol.com, 14.06.2008 Fred was the faculty advisor for the student chapter of the Institute of Aeronauticl Sciences and talked a little about this plane. It reportedly was spin & stall proof. The Pobjoy engine quit and the plane pancaked in and was destroyed. (In a schoolyard, if I remember correctly)I remember him discussing the physics of tricycle vs. conventional landing gear. It stuck with me. There's two kinds of gear--tricycle and WRONG.* *My words, not his.
