Did anyone notice that the new Honda biz jet has the same engine configuration as this plane? The engines mounted on the wings rather than on the body. I guess the patent must have run out.

This was Rutan's original prototype biz jet built for Beechcraft. Beechcraft chose the unsuccessful Starship design instead.

This looks like a close concept copy of the Beech Starship which did not make production either. Still a cool A/C and fast too. Those turboprops must have been starving at a 41,000ft service ceiling, the props that is.

I saw this one when I went to watch the Spaceship 1 first flight. Had bicycles so we could get around the complex pretty easily.

Too bad it never made production.
