In the mid eighties , when I was working at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City , I watched a Super Guppie load a damaged A-7 Corsair and deliver it to it's home base ! Quite an impressive aircraft for sure !

I used to live in Goleta where these planes lived in the middle/late 60's. They used to fly right over our house. Even got to go inside one...

I got to watch these come into Ellington AFB TX when I was stationed there in the late 1960s. Really cool to watch them open up!
