Derry Belcher, e-mail, 25.11.2016 22:37 Seems that of the two aircraft built, the one with number 10 on the tail had control surfaces on the upper wing and lower wing while the second aircraft only had lower wing control surfaces. I wonder if the second aircraft also left out the mechanism (as shown in The Flight magazine Sept 1924)for using the full span ailerons as flaps?

D Belcher, e-mail, 02.09.2011 10:46 I also have a 1/12th flying scale-model that was based on a free-flight plan but I redesigned the structure to take the higher loadings of electric-power, miniature radio gear and aerobatics, with fully functional controls including flapperons. It is a real treat to watch in flight and I get a kick out of keeping a bit of history alive, even if it is only in miniature.
