I have an aluminium model of a Potez 840, I believe it may have been a promotional model, I saw a similar for sale on E Bay a few years ago.

I was on the last flight of this Potez 840 as a passenger.I have information on this aircraft in French. I will be interested to see it now.

They built a factory to build these aircraft in Baldonnell Aerodrome in Ireland in 1961 or 62 but it never went into production. I worked for the Potez Copmpany 1961-1963 and knew old Henri Potez. I flew in the prototype 840 at the bourget airshow in 61 (I think)

THere was one in Marocco, In Rabat in the late 80s.
Don't know if it's still there.
One says it was given to king Hassan II by Mr Potez himself.

I worked for a small local service carrier in the US in 1965 the Potez 840 was evaluated for use. I did not pass muster. Instead the Nord 262 was choses. What a turkey that was.

There's a partially dismantled and lightly damaged 840 on the North Mainland of the Shetland Isles. All bits are present except for the engines. The owner is trying to find some replacements so that it can be assembled complete. Photos available.

I have some info from the company I believe. It is some general specs and layout graphics. I also believe the front half of a fuselage is in a children museum my sister works at.

I have come in posetion of a potez 840 reg. F-BMCY. This plane was recovered from Sumbruogh Airport Shetland Islands 2005. I wuold be very pleased with any information regarding this plane as it is hard to find any at all. I do have some Information and history on the plane, however the information I have does not go in to detail about its former life.
