The Potez 230, along with the MS 450 & SNCAO 200 were all a complete waste of time & effort. All three aircraft were markedly inferior to both the D-520 (with which the Potez 230 had virtually nothing in common) & Arsenal VG-33. Air Minister La Chambre would have been wise to decisively halt development of these three pointless aircraft by the end of 1938 at the latest. The resources freed up would have enabled development of the excellent VG-33 series to be greatly accelerated.

Similar outlook to the other French fighter, the Dewoitine.
