Hi there I would be very interested in any photographs or information you have on this aircraft.
Thanking you in advance

When Des Norman set up NDN to design and manufacture the Firecracker he latterly designed and built the Fieldmaster at his base at Sandown on the Isle of Wight. He moved the production to Cardiff setting up N.A.C. in the process. After the move in 1985 production began in 1987 with parts being manufactured by Utva in Yugoslavia. However NAC went into receivership in 1988 after producing 6 aircraft. Production was taken over by Brooklands Aerospace who re-engined and rebuilt one Fieldmaster as a specialist fire fighting aircraft the Firemaster 65. With the start of the civil war in Yugoslavia the parts supply dried up and that was that. Except that Turkish Aeronautical Association ("Turk Havu Kurumu") restarted production under license in 1997 building two and a further two without engines before production finally ended in 1999.

Who holds the production rights to this aircraft?

deaftom, e-mail, 27.03.2011 07:54

They're rather small, but 3-views of the NDN-6 appear in the "Observer's Book of Aircraft", 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1986 editions.
