I have 12 shares of stock of Lanier Aircraft Corporation which is dated Jan. 2, 1962. I am trying to find out if this has any value. My Grandfather was part of the team who designed the Paraplane which I have a picture of. Any information regarding this would be appreciated.

I recall an article abpout this aircraft in the 70's in either Plane and Pilot or one of the earlier homebuilt a/c magazines. What was being touted was its slow t/o landing speed and short runway requirments. Also described as so easy to fly, anyone could learn to fly one. The article was describing it as practically being practically able to land at a gas station parking lot.Great to see a picture of it once again. Cheers

I have the aircraft in the picture. It is restorable and is located in Georgia. The airplane is missing FWF and the outer panel of one wing. The wing panel was lost when the airplane was returned from the Paris Air Show many years ago. The fabric is gone but all the metal is in fairly good condition. There are a number of websites that can be tapped for information on Lanier and his airplanes but the aircraft that I have is the only Lanier remaining in existance.

I would like to know more about this aircraft. A company called the Lanier Aircraft Co. was located in Alexandria, KY in the 1930s. My father told me the plane was towed to the Blue Ash Airport in Cincinnati, OH and that Jimmy Dolittle's brother test flew it. No other details have been found. I wonder if this is the same aircraft? Only one plane was built as far as I know.
