A prototype was completed and flown during 1939, but by then the French Navy had decided to use land-planes in this role, and therefore had no further requirement for aircraft of this sort. It is said to have been capable of a top speed of 267 mph. However, considering the large floats, the inverted gull wings and the engines mounted above the wings on struts, it seems difficult to believe it ever could have achieved such a high speed.
