An improved version for fighter training was designed (but never built) in 1939: with a 140 CV (104 kW ) Fiat A.54 engine and two 7.7 Breda-SAFAT machine guns in the wheels fairings.

Designed by Piero Magni only one was ever built. The start of World War II stopped all subsequent develoment.

This photo was taken ( I believe) at the 1937 "Salone Internazionale di Milano"
and is still housed in the Milan Museum, having survived the war. Unfortunately it has fallen into disrepair and was in need of some TLC back in 1998 when I was sent some photos taken in the museum.
