Graham Summers, e-mail, 02.08.2026 23:41 In answer to the two previous comments, about the picture used in this entry, an explanation can be found with the picture caption of this particular photograph when it was used in the Putnams tome on Curtiss aircraft. It stated that prior to fitting floats, Curtiss test flew the S-4 with a wheeled undercarriage.
