This boxy helicopter was very very noisy like the rest of the group (French Djinn helicopter etc) and they consummed a lot of jet fuel (hence very short range). Hughes built the biggest of all in the group, the Hughes XH-18..

Saludos me parece que habria que investigar bien el motor que funcionaba con aire comprimido y quisiera saber si no consumia gasolina de ningun tipo es decir si estariamos hablando de un motor de energia libre.

The power transmission force is compressed air, there is no transmission assembly in the mechanical sense. This has to be the ugliest aircraft in the world,-- why would you want to see more of it? As an old AH-1S TOW Cobra pilot, looking at this "thing" gives me the creeps.

I've got a "Big Book of Helicopters" - a child's book - from the 60s that has a color drawing of this helicopter.

Like Carlo I think taht there is big oblivion in the fact that ANY photo of the real Fiat 7002 prototype could not be available anywhere. Both Alenia and Fiat should be more respectfull of their own histoty... which is also an italian inheritance.
Anche mille grazie.
Bernard (from Paris).

Regarding the technical data of the FIAT 7002 helicopter, a large mistake was made when placing those data in the Web page. Mentioned ceiling for the captioned aircraft has been mentioned to be: 3400 km... I fully ignored that FIAT had made a... stratopherical helicopter.
Also regarding the FIAT 7002, isn't there any photo gallery or a photo collection showing the aircraft from various angles as well as its interior, cockpit, engine and other details, e.g., the rotors and transmission?
