Dan, e-mail, 13.01.2011 17:37 I would like to add some corrections to your very nice S76 History. The S-76C model has the Arriel 1S1 engine, the S-76C+ has the Arriel 2S1 engine and S-76C++ has the Arriel 2S1 engine.

Richard Baker, e-mail, 01.05.2009 03:54 Worked on the S-76A with Petroleum helicopters in 88-90. Pilots loved it but, as I remember, it was a bear to maintain. All driveshafts, intermediate and tail rotor particularly, had to be shimmed and what a chore! Still a popular ship and it does have a sexy shape.

George, e-mail, 23.03.2008 08:27 Greetings from New Zealand. Out daughter, nearly 7 yrs old now was born 15 weeks prematurely. Mum was flown to Auckland in a Sikorsky, which I understood was an S-76-A, but I see no -A designation here. We learned later that the power plants are Allison, so is this what you refer to as Mk-II? The operator is the the Northland Emergency Services Trust. See http://www.nest.org.nz/
They now have a second similar machine. The long range is useful when there is trouble offshore.. New Zealand has a very long coastline!
