Sir,

Can you help me?

"STINGRAY", e-mail, 15.08.2007 23:51

YAH, THIS HELICOPTER IS PROBABLY MY SECOND FAVORITE HELICOPTER--THE MIL MI-24 IS MY FIRST FAVORITE. THIS HELICOPTER'S DESIGNS--AND THE MI-24'S DESIGNS--HAVE MADE QUITE AN IMPACT ON OTHER COUNTRIES. THATS PROBABLY WHY CHINA LICENCE-BUILT THE DAUPHIN WITH ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF MISSION CAPABILITIES. SOMEDAY I WISH TO DESIGN MY OWN VERSION OF THIS AIRCRAFT. ONE THAT IS AMPHIBIOUS AND INVISIBLE TO RADAR AND FLIR. THE U.S. AND FRENCH MILITARY, EVEN THE POLICE FORCES, WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A COUPLE OF THESE!

Andrew, e-mail, 04.06.2007 17:32

The Dauphin is perhaps my favorite helicopter. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and the local police force has flown five Dauphines since 1979 - made up of 3 x SA365C and 2 x AS365N3. They are about to take delivery of a third N3 series machine. I grew up with these helicopters always buzzing about the city, so they are the ones I am most familiar with. As the last C1 series machine is about to decommissioned, I will miss the unique sound they make and the tailwheel configuration.
