Second helicopter built 1933 for training pilots. Similar to 1-EA and same data. Never flown except on tethers. Bill Gunston "The Osprey's Encyclopedia of Russian Aircraft", 2000
* * *
By and large, this helicopter was identical with the TsAGI 1-EA, except that instead of having tricycle landing gear, the rear wheel was replaced by a strut. However, it preserved the two anti-torque contra-rotating rotors fore and aft of its frame.
The 3-EA successfully performed a number of flights, each lasting some ten minutes.
