In fact, there's a suitable engine for this device but a little expensive: Mazda RX8 Rotary engine.
I guess it will be more than enough for this baby to fly.
Of course, the main problem is getting that engine off of a Mazda and putting into this baby. :)
Considering the price of Mazda RX8. :P

Projekt powstał w 1971 roku na życzenie Radzieckich Wojsk. Niestety projekt nie dotarł nawet do fazy testów z powodu czegoś tam ze śmigłem :D Nie wiem dokładnie bo nie czytałem. A taka zabawka nie jest napewno droga...

Śmieszne jest to że rozmiary złożonego sprzętu były ściśle określone, bo chcieli móc to ... wystrzeliwywać z luków TORPEDOWYCH łodzi :D

Hello,2 yr ago, I presented a totaly new rotary engine, the Quasiturbine, at Proffessor Wang how developpe the bi-rotativ engine by Ka and some people of chinese and russian governement and military dept. This engin was developped on these engine. it's running in photo ignition. Look at quasiturbine.com...

It looks like it's very simple easy to build. Anybody with small helicopter knowledge. You can easly build the Kamov Ka-56 from a Tip-Jet. Instead of gas engines. You can use jet engines to power it. It will be lighter helicopter than the Kamov Ka-56.
