Believe it or not I was in Dennis Fetters garage as a little kid with my dad and he had the 447 Commander plans on the wall of his dream. The mini 500 was not opened and closed in 3 months because I went to their 1 year party in Missouri. Main rotor bearing problem fixed the aircraft failures but wrongful death suits from a FEW deaths not 97 as one guy put in here before. Dennis is a very good guy, built a hell of machine and the Voyager would have been awesome. Anyone else look up your info before you run someone down you know nothing about. I got my first gyro lesson with Dennis being towed behind a station wagon down a runway. :-)

The reality of the mini500 is that Denis was only a good Gyro builder and got a bug to try and build a true heli. Sad to say but, the proof is in the puding! all who want a true heli that has history look at the Helicycle! helicycle.com and the price on the Helicycle is around 36000 us.

Sounds like your trying to sell mosquito's????? hmmmmm your info is very wrong!!!!!!!!!! the 500 and voyager were excellent ships, when put together correctly. High hour time helo pilots also make mistakes, maybe more so in a kit helo, with over confidence. Most turbine guys will tell you they have problems with managing throttle in piston powered helos, big turbin helos are relative easy to fly..... Have you flown one??? probably not! I have and they fly great............... of course you have to know how to fly Helicopters! and know how to maintain and build. very stable, fast, autos great, does everything its suppose to do............the market really missed out on a great ship.... probably one of the best for its class..... now if you want an "ultralite" yes by all means check out the mosquito!

PLEASE don't buy this kit, or the mini-500 from revolution helicopter inc. There have been reported deaths because of the MANY numerous design flaws. One of these deaths was of a 30,000+ hour helicopter pilot, when the aircraft lost stability and pitch control. It was NOT pilot error. Other seasoned pilots (seniors) have been injured...and a few of them sadly killed. the company closed in less than three months because the ratio of kit sold to serious injury or death was 94/100....this thing is a death trap waiting to happen. Head over to http://www.rotaryforum.com and learn about the awesome helicopters you can buy, as well as autogyros. On the other hand, you can also buy yourself a "mosquito" ultralight helicopter for about $2,000 LESS than this was being sold for, it's been regarded as one of the top ten helicopters for under $80,000. The voyager was gonna be $32,000...the mosquito is $30,000. It's freaking awesome, and is about as long as a pickup, you can build it yourself, and there are MANY people online and that you can probably meet in person that fly this thing. Just head over to a local aviation club.

This aircraft, as far as I could find out at the time, did no get shipped to China with most of the assets of the company.

It was well engineered with many of the original Mini500 design faults corrected... and powered by a purpose built and developed 3 cylinder 2-stroke developing around 135hp.

I have more detailed photos and info... for the history books. I believe much of the development, and certainly a flying airframe went South.

HELLO!!! Are you guys all blind or what? Every person asking how much and were do I get them? It clearly says "opened in autum 1999 and closed in Oct of '99". That means they were open for 1 month at best. Nice looking machine I wil agree, but pointless posting about a long gone dinosaur.
