Established 1976 by N. D. Norman, formerly of Fairey Britten- Norman, to develop the NDN-1 Firecracker two-seat trainer/sport aircraft. The first piston-engined prototype flew in May 1977; turboprop variant of Firecracker first known as NDN 1T Turbo Firecracker (see The Norman Aeroplane Company). Also developed Fieldmaster agricultural aircraft (first flown 1981) and Freelance four-seat utility lightplane (first flown 1984). Back to the letter N
