ST. LOUIS AIRCRAFT CORPORATION

Formed at St. Louis, Missouri, as a subsidiary (later a division) of the St. Louis Car Company. At 1929 Detroit Aircraft Show exhibited the Cardinal high-wing monoplane, the company's first airplane. Cardinal Senior which followed had more power. In mid/late 1930s made components but in 1940 delivered small batch of PT-15 biplane trainers to U.S. Army. During Second World War made Fairchild PT-23 under subcontract.
