| Barry, 11.04.2016 16:53 Built to Air Ministry specification 1 /24 for a 2 /3 seat shipboard reconnaissance aircraft in competition with the Short Sturgeon, although two of each machine were ordered in the event only one Pike was completed. Naval tests pilots found it sluggish and draughty and in the end because neither aircraft matched the specification neither was ordered. I hope this makes more sense than the script elsewhere on this page. reply |
