Gallant old planes. Incredible they were in service until just before the war. One Zero, one ME 109, hell, one P- 26 could have wiped out a whole squadron. The crews must have known that. What did they say?

I have pictures of several on the ground at Luke field which was located on Ford island Hawaii originally. Also have a Waltham 8 day aviation clock which had been mounted with 4 small wood screws to the wooden instrument panel of a Keystone Bomber. Their engines.structural parts and components were used in Aeronautical schools before WW-2
