HONNINGSTAD

Established 1936, Honningstad designed and built the Norge Model A light transport aircraft in 1938. Designed a twin-engined, 12-passenger amphibian built by Norsk Flyindustri AS (q.v.), as the Finnmark 5A, intended specifically for operation in the Northern and Arctic regions; only one prototype was completed. The Honningstad Polar C5 bush-plane was built in 1948 by Wideroes Flyveselskap OG Polarfly (q.v.).
