The controversy about how many Junkers JU-390 aircraft has been solved. We now have documentation that have determined the number of JU-390 aircraft that were in service with the Luftwaffe. Here is what we know today.
1. Two JU-390 Aircraft were captured and brought to the United States in Operation Paperclip.
2. We know of one Junkers JU-390 that flew to Argentina in May of 1945 and was disassembled and destroyed on purpose.
3. We know of one JU-390 in Swedish Markings that was on standby to fly to Bodo Norway in April 1945.
4. By August 1943 we know of at least 3 JU-390's that had been built.
5. In February 1945 a Junkers JU-390 flew the Polar Route to Japan. SS Flugakapitan Anna Kreisling was in Japan already and helped unload this cargo.
6. In April 1945 a different JU-390 flew Anna Kreisling back to Germany where she received orders from Martin Bormann.
7. In Poland we have a factory north of Auschwitz run by the SS that produced five Junkers JU-390 aircraft. The factory records in Germany show two made there. In Norway at Bodo Airfield, four were constructed for the Atomic Bomb Program under the direction of Heinrich Himmler.

Actually, there are 2 types of aircraft you should probably use in case Anna shows up in her Ju-390 which will most likely be armed with AA missiles of its own. I just went to WAL-MART and bought a 1/18th scale Junkers JU-390, WOW, IS IT EVER BIG! It's got six engines, two tails, and I hung it from the ceiling in my garage! It comes with 3 figures, Hitler, Himmler and Anna Kreisling! All in fantastic looking uniforms. I have a friend in Utah who is gonna send me 103 1/18th scale figures of the SS Leibstandarte guys. Boy let me tell you, I was scared out of my mind.
