The Junkers F13 was a post-World War I design, purpose-built for commercial purposes, and also the first all-metal airliner. Unusually for its era, it was a monoplane. Over 320 examples of this historic aircraft were built over 20 years up until 1932, with Deutsche Luft Hansa a significant purchaser (of 72 examples). Some variants were equipped with skis or floats, and F13s were still in service up until World War II - in all more than 70 variants were fielded. This rugged, heavily braced aircraft with its trademark jWkers corrugated metal skin helped to develop air transport services in many parts of Europe and beyond, including South America. Specifications apply to F13a.
